Hitchin' a Lift
That which goes up must then come down (as the saying goes). But, in my sublime naivety, I thought that mountain bikers either cycled their bikes up mountains or pushed them up or a bit of both. With the pain of effort to get to the top of the mountain being more than compensated by the thrill and excitement of hurtling down on the mountain bike at high speeds.
Well these chaps seem to have the best of both worlds - a lift to the top via the Glencoe ski-lift then zoom down at high speed. And then do it again, and again. Mrs S, Behr (our dog) and I had a super day in Glencoe, Scotland. Some great walks, an excellent pub lunch and then we called into the ski-centre where all this mountain biking was going on. We got some nice action shots but as you can see I've blipped on the means by which the cyclists and their bikes get to the top. I also took the chairlift to the top to capture the view. On the clear blue-sky day like today, it was just terrific to drink in the astounding views.
Hope you all had a good weekend blippers. I'm going to dust off my own mountain bike and head back to the hills now that I know just how easy it is to get to the top!
