BBQ

Scotland, 1 May, temperature higher than 5 degrees, sun shining = BBQ!!!

The sun shines - however briefly - and it's an excuse to roll out the barbie. But I'm lazy - it's not a real BBQ, it's gas but it's still just great fun cooking outdoors. Still too cold for some of us to sit outside and eat it but it's been a glorious day - communion at church, followed by lunch and finishing my book in the sun before an uplifting off road cycle and bbq by which time the nippy wind had died down a bit.

It's funny how uplifting a bit of sun can be - everyone at kirk had a smile on their face as they came in (a rare thing in Scotland these days!!) and I felt the same way all day - just great having fsmily around, and the dogs chilling out and having seen mum and dad yesterday and knowing that we have the day off tomorrow.
