Dotsy and Laurie

I wasn't quite in focus myself when I took this, so I was surprised that it came out at all! This is Laurie sitting on top on Dotsy's bed. Laurie assumes this position when she's ready for Dotsy and I to get up in the morning. She has usually just pounced on me to wake me up and then sits on top of Dotsy's bed waiting.

If that doesn't work she takes swipes in at Dotsy who makes a quick exit. The next weapon in Laurie's Get-Up-And-Get-Me-My-Breakfast armoury is to start using Dotsy's bed as a scratching post, which usually gets my attention - she has learnt that being naughty is a good way of getting noticed...

Finally she comes and sits on my chest and taps my cheek with her paw while purring loudly.

On occasion this rigmarole has saved me from over-sleeping, but usually it just interrupts a beautiful lie in. So I've left the red-eye because at these moments Laurie is known as The Demon Cat. (I love her really, I just don't love getting up!)
