Green

Today as I walked outside into the sunshine and saw Erik in a field of green I realized... Spring is here.
It happens so quickly in Chicago! One day it's brown and dreary and literally overnight: flowers bloom, leaves explode, grass turns vibrant green, and trees come to life.
Today was a great day! Confirmation Sunday, lunch outside with the family at panera, afternoon enjoyment, convertible ride to a spontaneous walk in the park surrounded by waterfalls and tulips, hot yoga: my detox for the week;), and a dinner party.
The day ended with Erik's laughter in the bathtub: I bought him glow sticks to illuminate his bath, which he loved and we played and laughed the day into our night.
It's been a great weekend! Filled with great conversations with good friends and family, rest and enjoyment.
