Ptarmigan
Went up Creag Leacach and on to Glas Maol, partly because Creag Leacach's usually good for ptarmigans - here's the proof. Her male was around too.
Worth a look in large.
Thought the hill was going to be busy but there were very few people about on a sunny holiday Monday. This helped us get a really good wildlife day - as well as these, we saw ring ouzels, common sandpipers, dotterel, golden plover, and a really close encounter with a baby mountain hare. Mrs RT spotted it sitting tight against the wall that runs along the top, after I'd walked right past it - Here's her blip of it.
