The Old Man

I didn't take the camera out of it's bag until I got home from work today.

So I spent some time in the garden getting a few shots in.

This is The Old Man of Coniston.

You can see the disused slate quarries on the fell-side.

It's not often I can see them that well from here, but the evening light was picking them out well tonight.

I spent some time trying to get a shot of the birds flying in the field at the back.

Needless to say I was unsuccessful.

I was, however, reminded of this film/story.
