Blessing the lifeboat

We walked down to Hope Cove again today to see the lifeboat being blessed by the local vicar. A few hymns (with some rather amusing organ-playing), a bit of a sermon, a cheer for the lifeboat crew, followed by the obligatory wetting of the boat with champagne. I missed the best photo of the day though - the vicar standing in the boat at the end of the service, swigging from the champagne bottle! I am not sure that was part of the planned service!
