Annecy

Hamish, Bill, John A and I sweltered on the bus on the way out through the rush hour traffic from Geneva to Annecy. By concidence we passed the offices I used to kow well on Rue de Gran Saconnex. Then we froze this evening as the temperature dropped 10 degrees.

We are here to prepare for a group visit in September. As we sat out besiide the old prison pictured here, and ate charcuterie, whitebait and washed it all down with some delightful rosé, we reflected that someone has to suffer for the common good.
