Cocoons

We visited Tropical World in Roundhay today and that is where I took this picture. It was behind a window and contained many cocoons, some of them pulsing with butterflies about to emerge. The butterflies are in the main not behind glass and fly freely about the place.

Before visiting we had our lunch in Roundhay Park and took a slow walk up. It was very windy today! Tropical World is extremely warm and mostly humid inside (maybe obviously!) so much so that we were all sweating within minutes. I saw on thermometers that the temperature was maintained at about 35C. The desert section was a easier going as it was drier but I think we all felt a bit of relief when we were able to get out into the cooler air. Well worth the small entrance fee though. We ended the day with dinner at Wagamama. I really like the Saien Soba!
