diagnosis: possible broken kingpin

This failure of a truck prematurely ended our skate today. It felt a little lose on my friend's board, he went to tighten it and the kingpin, which the tightening nut is screwed onto (the other side of the truck in the picture) was just spinning round with the kingpin. Yet, the kingpin head underneath the truck stayed still, so we think its a broken kingpin, but can't be sure, because the we can't undo or tighten the nut to find out. Sucks. New truck it is then I guess. I've seen broken kingpins before, but never something like this. How strange.
