This is a painting called "before it was me". I photographed it on the table in my studio, the Monday of Easter long weekend.

For me, the imagery of this painting is a colossus, a terror, a vengeful Amazon thirty stories high, rampaging through the blackened forest, oblivious to a sky of flaming arrows.
