A day in the life of...me

London Trip - Day 3

The final day we had in London. The morning was spent by a group of us going for a grand breakfast. Then we all hit the underground to go to Oxford Street for a brief trip to Topshop before heading upwards to Camden to go and hit it up in the market. It was my first time in the market and it was ace! A really good day. Also virgin Pina Colada's certainly helped the day along. :)

Following this we had matinee shows to go and see at the Barbican Arts Centre. This was an experience if ever there was one. As theatre student we expected to see theatre, however this wasn't theatre. Or at least not as the majority of us saw it. 2 different shows. The first featuring, in my opinion, pretentious Cambridge students who had too much of Daddy's money and wanted to put on a cheap imitation of professional work. It was just dire and very annoying to see. To be honest I felt slightly cheated out of an afternoon to be honest, because it was just ridiculous. Not a happy bunny. :(

We then had to rush along to Leicester Square, grab a quick McDonalds to eat then head over to the Donmar Warehouse to receive a Pinterectomy in the form of "Moonlight", starring David Bradley. The show was ok, not great but ok. The main redeeming feature being David Bradley out-acting everybody else on stage despite being stuck to the confines of a bed. It was a pleasure to just watch him and I could have watched him all night...

Then we all headed back to the hotel to end our night. Thanks to James Garvock and Sean Tyrell, I then proceeded to have one of the funniest nights of my entire life, where the giggles were plentiful, much like the alcohol. Just by telling awful jokes and playing a comedic game, the banter was glorious. The next day, we went home...

The photograph featured is my better half with Kyle posing in the Underground at Leicester Square by a board featuring the Black Swan. Someone which Heather constantly wishes she could be... sort of :)
