"Stroll with a scroll"!!
Today was the Singing Walk with David Burbidge from Sedbergh. There were 3 cancellations and 1 no show, but there were still 35 of us who set out from Haltwhistle. It was much colder today - that wind from the north east is very nippy - but the sun shone and the only "rain" was when I unwittingly walked under a garden sprinkler!!
David taught us songs at various stops on our 5 mile walk. We were soon learning 3 part harmony and coping with it pretty well.
Lunch was at Cawfields Quarry, followed by a sing at Aesica Fort. The tea back in Haltwhistle in Holy Cross Church was magnificent. More singing and finished bang on time at 4pm. Quick half in the Black Bull, then supermarket hit before driving home.
What a lovely day.
