Glitter bug!

I don't have a clue what type of insect this is but its back looks glittery so I've named it myself. If anyone knows I'd be pleased to find out. I took two other pics of it and the part directly behind the head looks like a skull on the other two. It fell out of my washing as I was taking it in and I quickly rushed in the house and grabbed my camera (it was more important than putting the tea on after all!). In this photo it's sitting in my washing basket that I was holding at a strange angle so that the sun would catch it. Shortly after I fished it out of the basket with a blade of grass, held the grass up to the blue sky ready to photograph it again and it flew away! So much for being grateful to me for rescuing it!

That's about all I've blipped today. I went to visit another school this morning in a beautiful part of Shropshire - and left my camera at home - duh!! This afternoon I was tutoring so today seems to have flown by. Still sunny but definitely cooler today - I think rain and even storms are forecast for Wednesday or Thursday.
