A strange Bloom

They were pods like these here once, but still on the vine.

Then once removed from the vine I placed them in water - per instructions from my aunt.
Afraid to sleep after seeing some had returned to pod form, I couldn't help but think of "Body Snatchers".

I made it through the night without any Pods attacking, and have drained some of the water from the bowl in hopes that the closed pods will re-open and show off like their oh so beautiful floating friend.
