Burnt Out

When I last played with matches on February 19th I was very happy with the image. But, I really wanted to find some that weren't brown tipped.

I found that Swan Vesta are pink & I duly set about stacking them & photographing them, but the image I liked best was the one with the least colour of all. After I'd set fire to the matches (no, the smoke alarm didn't go off & yes, I did have water on hand) I tried some shots with the flash. This was the first shot when the flash was far too fierce.

It's bizarre how sometimes the mistakes turn out to be the favourite shots.
