Polling day

Across the UK elections are taking place for various things (local elections, AV referendum, Scottish elections, NI elections and Welsh elections).

The democratic process isn't perfect, and often politicians seem to go out of their way to fill the electorate with cynicism, but I've always been a big believer in exercising the right to vote.

Many people have died for the right to vote, many people are still dying in conflicts around the world for this basic human right, and to not take part in the democratic process risks losing it for ever.

Today I voted.
