Falkirk Wheel. In the rain.

I wandered out to Falkirk and had a cup of coffee and a walk along the canal in the rain. Very pleasant it was too.

But I do wish it would rain properly and then stop instead of this warm damp mizzle that goes on and on....

The Falkirk Wheel is a very fancy canal lock. It transports boats in huge tubs of water between two canals on very different levels.

Apparently this wonderful feat of engineering is soon to be surpassed by an Archimedes Screw being installed right next door. It all looks very exciting.
