Old Tree

Went for a wee drive around the rural area around Mosgiel today and found these trees, they are all weatherbeaten and gnarly. The texture on them was amazing and what light there was (crappy day down under again today) just made it even more interesting.

It got me thinking.....

Why is it that we look at an old tree for instance and see the weathered and aged look that it has and find it quite attractive but as some people will do anything to stop this actually happening to themselves and can get quite obsessed by containing them???
Its time we accepted aging and just made the most of the time we have.
