In A Broken Dream

A few dats ago I took a picture with my camera, then when I went to take another I saw that something was not right. Looking through the view finder, I saw a black line that was not there before, and should not be there just now. On taking off the lens, I discovered that the top part of the shutter had, for some reason, fallen off, and was in pieces inside the camera. Well 2 bits of it was. The other piece I found lying on the floor of my car a couple of days later.
I can still use it, sort of, but only in auto focus and in complete manual mode, but when I look through the view finder, I see the subject matter in the round, like a large pinhole.
As I do not know how to fix it myself, and I cannot, at this moment afford to get it fixed, I will have to persevere with my Blackberry and my wife's old Fuji, which does not have many pixels, when I am Blipping at work
I am sad.
