Tabarka
Day six diving at Scapa Flow (explanation starts here).
We dived the Coln in the morning and it was really good - we went on the stern this time and saw the emergency steering deep inside the hull (by peering in a hole in the bottom of the ship). sailfish has blipped the emergency steering gear..
Later we dived the Tabarka, one of the block ships sunk to prevent raiders entering the flow through the smaller channels. She's shallow and there are lots of holes in the hull, so the light pours in. This shot reminds me of a cathedral somehow. Very beautiful.
Huge thanks to sailfish for organising the trip and diving with me, and to Radiant Queen Charters for brilliant dive briefings ("stories"), great food and a very well set up boat!
