this is the result of the NXT (sortof, it's not quite programmed because the software is for windows and all the comps in the house run linux but there's ways around it, he just hasnt implemented them yet)

anyways, so it walks. and it responds to noise. so the boy's following it around and clapping and barking at it and it's doing what any normal being would do, which is attempt escape. so the bear says STOPPPPP (he works nights and just woke) so the boy says FINE and stands up to walk off, then I guess he has second thoughts and halfturned and shook his leg over it, which was enough noise to get it going again which I found hysterically funny. rather wish I was holding a video camera rather than a still.
