Dutch Memories

This time of year always makes me nostalgic for my days living in Holland. I love that land. This is where I studied for a year, and this is where I took one of my favorite holidays. I found Dutch people to be so happy, and I loved the lifestyle--cycling everywhere, even to get groceries in the middle of a rainstorm. Plus the hagel slag and the cheese left me well fed!

It was Nijmegen where I learned my bike skills that serve me well now living in Boston (though I do wear a helmet in the states, in the Netherlands they assumed anyone wearing a helmet was crazy or a German). Thankfully, tulips can be found everywhere these days and I have plenty of opportunities to reminisce.
