Canna Lily

Yes, it is that time of year again and the Canna lilies are beginning to bloom. One came into bud a couple of days ago but the squirrels got to it.

I spotted this lily opening last night and forgot to put a plastic bag over it. Thankfully, the squirrels left it alone. A good job too or else I would have been struggling for a photograph.

I don't seem to have much enthusiasm for walking around the streets of Riverside these days. For one thing, it is too damn hot; secondly, the prospect doesn't fire the imagination.

But, you know, once I do get out and about with the camera I really enjoy myself. That should give the psychoanalysts something to mull over. :-)
