mellow yellow

all of a sudden, there are tulips everywhere here... spring has sprung late...

fortunately, as i was headed to an appointment i was driving alone... i spotted a patch - a huge patch - of tulips out of the corner of my eye along the road side and yelled out "look at those will you?" of course, no one was in the car with me... as i just mentioned, i was driving alone - a good thing since i was now swerving into the other lane in my excitement, trying to figure out where i was and how to pull over quickly in traffic... sigh... not good either when i'm nervous about driving since my accident and fuss about other drivers but... what we do for a picture.

then i found with the tulips some other intriguing flowers as well that i didn't recognize - fuzzy ones and kind of hairy things... hmmmm.... but i liked the mellow yellow of this one and it seemed to fit my mood today after all.
