Everything was happening today though...

Swimming lessons for the kids. The lad couldn't go in because he's still got a cold, which prompted much angst. The girl was having fun until she got out of the pool, and ran round to go in somewhere else (paying no heed to the instructor). I headed or off and ordered her back. As she ran off I called out not to run - and she found out why, as her feet went out from under her in a most slapstick way and she went splat. I was actually a bit concerned at first when she was seemingly unable to stand, with legs going quite floppy - but it was just shock and adrenaline burst, and she was fine (if a little reserved for a while).

After that came a birthday party for one of the little Miss' school friends. The gender specific everythings were ... interesting ... and the lad's wailing towards the end over not getting the presents and such was a bit of an unpleasant coda.

Anyhoo, back home, fire's on, kids are in bed, Thai has been ordered, wine is in glasses, wife is beside me. It's all good. 8)
