Tunnel
I bet few people have ever seen this view, not because it's inaccessible, it's just not a place you'd normally go. Obviously I discovered it today while "blip hunting" ... as you do ;-)
It's the entrance to the tunnel under the Port Hills from Christchurch to Lyttleton. Interestingly, you can see a light at the end of the tunnel (when you are inside it), which I find remarkable - it's a long way! At least I think it was the end of the tunnel; I'll go back again soon with my tripod and try some internal shots, obviously with no trains ;-)
Also interestingly, the plaque said:
Prouected by W.S Moorhouse. Engineer E. Dobson. 1868.
Hard to know what "prouected" means ...
