Happy Birthday Lainie...

What a busy day.

We had to be up at the crack of dawn to get Bethany to ballet without the luxury of a car. It was a bit of a hike but we ending up getting there in plenty of time as we had the wrong start time and were there half and hour early. Good way to use up half a day.

The other half was spent helping an old school friend celebrate her birthday. This Lainie and this is the second time she's met Bethany and first time she's met Ewan. Ewan will speak to anybody, but Bethany usually cowers beside my leg at meeting new people. They all got on like a house on fire.

And into that mix, more old friends, old friends kids, much barbecuing and generally celebrator shennanigans and you have an exhausting but thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
