LAST DAY OF CLASSES!!

Also known as my favorite day of the academic school year! It's just a fantastic day all around. Every class at Wellesley is assigned a color. Every year, on the last day of classes for the spring semester, the seniors go around to all the academic buildings/libraries and decorate them with their class color. This year's graduating seniors are the yellow class, so the school was greeted by a yellow explosion this morning. This lovely stuffed koala pimped out in yellow was one of my favorite sites to see. Other highlights of the senior prank were a cornfield in the sociology department, a yellow submarine in the music department, a Mario themed elevator in the Science Center, and twinkle lights spelling out 2011 also in the Science Center.

Other fantastic highlights of this wonderous day were:
-The Annual Math vs. Physics Softball Game played by both professors and students. It was definitely an interesting experience to see so many professors' legs exposed in shorts and the Math Dept. crushed the Physics Dept, reinforcing how awesome we are :)
-Stepsinging!! One of my favorite traditions at Wellesley. Everyone wears their class colors and we sing Wellesley-related songs/battle it out with other classes using class cheers on the chapel steps. It's such a beautiful tradition and I definitely almost cried..
-Last day of classes BBQ! It was a gorgeous day out and there was a ton of free food (including a table covered in vegetables. seriously, they just laid piles of vegetables on the table). 'Nuff said.
-Matt and Kim concert!!! I personally had never heard of them before tonight but OMGOSH, they are fantastic performers. Outdoor concerts are pretty great to begin with, but Matt and Kim were just so super cute and energetic, so it was AMAZING. Great end to a great day.
