Good Eats
Hubby and I bounced around a bit today on various errands. Came across these cupboards full of home-made products in a local store.
They reminded me of my grandmother, who was forever canning goods, making marmelades and otherwise using fresh products from the farm area in Alsace where she lived. My favorite breakfasts were always at her house: pain paysan, still warm from the oven, lathered with homemade butter and dripping helpings of jam (my favorite: fraises des bois). Wish I'd paid attention to her recipes...
