Perfect wave

I got up early to go and see what I could find to blip in my own backyard.

There were a few people around on the beach early this morning. The tide was out so there weren't many interesting waves breaking on the rocks around Alexandra Headland, and not too many clouds in the sky to make a dramatic sunrise backdrop.

I gave up on rocks and waves and tried to get some shots of the surfers, but getting sun on their faces is only possible as they wait for a good wave. The surf also wasn't very big.

The island in the background is Old Woman Island, at the mouth of the Maroochy River.
