whirling dervisher

A very uncomfortable hot day here in zerozerothreeone. Started with B. going to hockey for the first time today. After a pretty dreadful season of football he's decided to try his hand at hockey. He did very well considering he didn't know anyone there. He got stuck in and can fairly hit a ball. He wants to go again next week. Which is nice.

Then to a BBQ this evening, where the food (Korean) was as hot as the surface of the sun. I poured sweat from orifices I never knew I had. The toilet paper is in the fridge.

When we got back we sent Mother up the stairs so the kids could practice their party-piece for Mothers Day tommorow (dont worry, it's only here in Holland).

S. had written a poem which she wanted R. to play music too, but much discussion followed about the tune R. chose, a nice tune but not really appropriate here. It made S.'s poem sound like an entry for that Dave Lee Travis radioshow. Mind of that one?

So in the end I got the guitar down and suggested we put the poem to the music from Shrek 54,876 (or whatever), with K. doing a dance while I play and S. reads.

Todays Blip shows K. in the middle if her Whirling Dervishers routine with R. looking on.
