Iris

The iris symbolizes faith, hope and wisdom.

The sun was shining today until this evening when it poured again! It was warm and windy and for the first time this year I was able to weed some of the flower beds. The earth has been like concrete in the drought.

Looking at how everything is now shooting up after the first rain, these irises suddenly came into view near the garden shed. They always impress with their size and colour.

A calf was born this afternoon in the field, a wet awakening with this rain but they usually find somewhere to shelter under a hedge.
