An English Rose

How many kinds of sweet flowers grow
In an English country garden?
We'll tell you now of some that we know
Those we miss you'll surely pardon
Daffodils, heart's ease and phlox
Meadowsweet and lady smocks
Gentian, lupin and tall hollyhocks
Roses, foxgloves, snowdrops, forget-me-nots
In an English country garden

We revisited Dyrham today to see how it looks now spring has sprung. The deer were about in abundance, almost all antlers dropped it seemed, but I thought they've had enough publicity over the last 24hrs from Jamie, Jackie and Leah ( and after 3 tries at getting the links to their blips and failing I'm running short of patience so I'm afraid you'll just have to search them out for yourselves if you haven't seen them ) I chose this rose. I just wish I could post the scent here too.
