Nice. Day 1.

I have lots to say, but the internet connection in the hotel is a bit flakey, so for now I'll just say I got here safely, settled in to the hotel, wandered around orienting myself and am impressed with what I've seen so far. This fountain is on the magnificent main square. I have other shots of it and of other bits of Nice that I'd like to link to, but it's too much hassle right now to hope that this connection will co-operate while I upload what I want to. If I find a better WiFi spot tomorrow I'll update this entry and go into a bit more detail.
