A sea of pink

Today I took part in the Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research with my good friend Julie and her two daughters. The event took place at Hopetoun House near South Queensferry and despite a wet start to the day the rain stopped when we arrived and held off until we reached the marker informing us we had 500m to go. Nearly every one taking part in the event is usually wearing something pink from clothing to bunny ears, hats or angel wings. The event is a lot of fun but it can be quite emotional to read the messages people have on their signs to say who they are racing for.
