Golden Lion Bridge

Between packing and leaving for the flight home, I had to get to Stanley Park for a quick visit and to see this particular perspective, which I'd never seen before. I got a 19 from W. Pender to Stanley Park, but it's then a half hour walk (the route I took to prospect point. It was quicker going bck to the bus stop as I took a shorter route.

I'd had breakfast/lunch at La Traqueria on Hastings, at Victory Square, I'd thoughroughly recommend eating there if you like tacos (real tacos, not those Old el Paso nonsense, or even Illeagal Jacks nonsense) these were the real deal, totally home made.

By the time I got back to town I had a half hour to kill before heading to the station and got talking to this guy in a logger's hat who hangs out in Bean Around cafe on the corner of Hastings and Cambie streets. Turns out he's a comic artist (but not David Boswell, although we were right next to his building) and was illustrating a short film script for a promotional comic. I guess the film makers were from Vancouver Film School just across the street next to the mexican place I'd had breakfast.

I've had an amazing time here. I'm so grateful to the people who've made it possible.

(notice that the lions at the base of the pillers are wearing Canuks jerseys)
