Ludlow. The Buttercoss. Between rain showers.
We wanted to go around the castle, but there was a Festival of Food and Vintage Transport in the castle grounds, which rather impedes the imagination. So we decided to have a mooch around the market and come back another, quieter day.
I bet they have a Tory Town Council. My evidence is the price of parking. For example, 30 minutes parking in the very centre of the town costs 10p! That is considerably less than what you pay a 'car guard' in South Africa. Nothing costs 10p any more and I am sure the transaction costs are higher than that (an hour is only 70p and 2 hours in a car park was £1).
