Music Re-born

I reunited with my guitar today.
It didn't miss me nearly as much as I have been missing it.
It told me so.



My fingertips,
tender from not playing for so long.
New callous burned onto my fingers
as they slid from fret to fret.

Felt joyous.
Felt musical.
Felt good,
to have rhythm in my life again.

Never too fast,
Never too slow.
Just right.
