A View From The Bridge

Went down to Newcastle to see Hugh Cornwell at The Sage - a birthday treat from my brother Tone. Great gig, fantastic venue: really enjoyed it (and only 30 years since I first saw him play with The Stranglers).

He was performing as if he was really enjoying it - relaxed, funny and a bit self-deprecating, which came as a bit of a surprise.

Before the gig, this excellent boozer was the scene of a mini blip convention, with Alan, Brooksie, Tone and the Extreme Chemist in attendance. Hoorah!
