Tony Hawks

Not, I should point out, the skateboarder. Rather, the English writer/comedian who wrote a hilarious book called Round Ireland with a Fridge. This was consequently made into a film which, for some strange reason, was playing at a cinema in Boulogne-Billancourt (close to me) this Sunday.

I dragged A along with me to see it (and we ate some horrendous sweets that made me feel like my tongue had been burnt) and at the end the man himself was there! He did a Q&A in French (not bad French!) and I was the only English person there - he said I was testimony to the fact that he was fairly famous in England. After the Q&A I went and met him and got his autograph, which you see above here. Exciting.
