I Hope I Can Change Later

Shin Splints

Ugh. Today my fears were confirmed when I felt the first twinges of shin splints coming on. I first felt something a week or so ago when I began jogging again but hoped that perhaps they were just normal aches like I was feeling in my thighs. And my feet. And my back. and arms. and chest. But I can certainly feel that it's shin splints so I will have to stop the jogging for now. I'm trying to get myself back in to playing football again but I guess I will have to train up on something else for now, perhaps a rowing machine, until I have some strength back again in those legs. I've had bad shin splints before and there is no way I'm going to ever let them get that bad again.

Today Virgin Media managed to surpass themselves but I won't bore you with the details. The most frustrating part of it is that when you're on the phone to them, you know that the person you're talking to is merely a conduit to the people that are the real problem and that venting to them does no more than if they were someone on the street. Especially since you deal with different people every time so it isn't like you can put pressure on one caller.

Oh well, there was more but I think I will leave it there for today! Here's hoping for a better tomorrow.
