Although the expression "Paisa" is of popular use in Colombia as apocope of "Paisano" (one from the same country; countryman), in Venezuela is used for the people from Venezuelan as well as Colombian Andes.

This man is the "verdurero" (the vegetable saler) in Chacao's market.
