American Alligator

Went out today for the first time in a couple of months. The humidity was unbearable. This is at the River Styx the river Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings wrote about in her book "Cross Creek". I got some beautiful Egret photos but the gator won out. I thought that most of you don't get to see these large dinosaurs that often. There were four gators, one baby about a year old still with it's mother who was about a nine footer. The really big one was about ten or eleven feet but he kept hiding everything except his eyes. I blipped this one he or she was about a eight footer. Hope you enjoy this big ole reptile. Look carefully and you can see how big his head is under the water.
