Seasonal confusion?

Saw this tree today on the bike ride - seems to be in a state of confusion - the leaves are in autumn, but the flowers are the blossoms of spring!

I think it's a flowering cherry, at least a prunus of some kind.

Maybe it's got Earthquake brain like the rest of us!! Esp after last night's effort, nothing like being shaken awake at 3am. It's the waiting to see how long it's going to go for and how bad it's going to be that gets me.
