walking to work

I was on my way to the studio this morning & took a few snaps. I like this. A road without cars. Its been closed off for a while. The wasteland either side used to be old victorian warehouses that had been semi-derelict for many years. Inhabited by squatters, artists, party goers, drug users, hookers & a whole bunch of people who lived around the fringe. In its own way had some charm & I spent a few times there myself many years ago. It was flattened quite recently to make room for a new development of overpriced flats. However the recession came & the developers soon backed away. Now theres nothing. But nothing is always something.
