Maple Buds....

I love the rusty red haze that is appearing on the landscape....the trees are finally showing off their buds!!! The reddish haze of the maples always brightens my day.....and when i went off for a walk, after most of the day in the studio......i got completely engrossed in them up close.....took lots of images and was very excited. but on viewing them, i was somewhat disappointed - i really do have to get better at focusing using the macro lens! Still, this shot summed up the young red buds!

In other news....Bronwyn and I spent most of the day in the studio....she trimmed all the pots she made yesterday and put handles on the 2 mugs, and feet on the vase! I was pretty impressed! I cleaned greenware, not my favorite job, it's kinda boring and repetitive, each piece has to be sponged down to remove all the little bits and pieces that get left behind after trimming.....then i loaded up the kiln.

It's home made pizza tonight....and another few old episodes of Grey's Anatomy. Bronwyn has brought a DVD with the whole first season on it.....it was a favorite show of ours when we all still lived together! the last couple of nights we've watched 2 or 3 episodes in a row....it's just so addictive!!!
