Mother's Day - Mexico
Temporary flower vendors were set up on Los Cocos to sell to those who wished to honor their mothers on 10 May, Mexican Mother's Day. There was the usual frenzy around the half dozen stands set up under blue tarps on the street corner. I shot photos of the overall scene, but the contrasty light prevented me getting something that would do the scene justice. In reviewing my many images (nothing like a venue filled with color and chaos to inspire one to shoot a great deal) I ended up preferring this simple, quite vendor pruning blossoms behind his colorful wares. If only I could have maneuvered in the crowded street to better isolate him from the background.
