same, same but different...

Today we took the children to a funeral, not something that we have done before - we have been lucky. On the way back we travelled through some of the most beautiful scenery in the north of Cumbria, acres of rolling fields framed by dramatic fells, sparking lakes, windswept moors and areas of the most utterly bluest of blue swaths of bluebells, it was a fitting memory to a man who loved the outdoors so much.

I have no extra energy to find an inspiring shot tonight but have found comfort in the familiar. Sienna has been a star today - she whispered quietly "good bye Don" and then told me that she will still visit him in the home even if he is not there anymore...
