last respects

Today I was lucky enough to play golf with 3 great guys Bill, Graeme and Steve at Dalmahoy near Edinburgh in the Black Rock fund managers golf day. We travelled up at 6.00 am this morning for an early start and our team name was team Newcastle. At One O'Clock exactly a claxon was sounded and the whole of the golf club, players, staff and green keepers stood silent for 1 minute and the flags were lowered to half mast. This was done as a token of respect and admiration and to coincide with the burial of the late and very very great Seve. A poignant moment indeed.
